A polio campaign supervisor, Hafiz Qadir Jan, was shot in the Killi Thekedar region of the provincial capital while aware of the parents to the next vaccination campaign.
According to the police, unidentified attackers opened fire on him, killing him on the spot before fleeing on a motorcycle. Shortly after the attack, local residents and the police arrived on the scene and moved the body to the civil hospital for the autopsy. Police also started an incident investigation.
Hafiz Qadir Jan, who was also local chief of Jui-F, was a well-known figure in the district.
