The popularity of the star of Indiana Fever Caitlin Clark before the WNBA 2025 season is undisputed, and the league commissioner put a debate to rest on Thursday.
Clark and fever will play 41 television games at the national level this season, more than the defending champion New York Liberty.
The fever also announced a direct service to consumers in partnership with Endeavour Streaming after the memorable recruits season in Clark and an unprecedented audience for WNBA matches in 2024.

Clark may be just a player in a league of great basketball players, but the figures do not lie.
“It is a balance, but it is a generational talent,” said WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert, on “The Podcast Bill Simmons”. “No league never concerns a player, but in this case, Caitlin brought tens of millions of new viewers in W.
“And it is undeniable to deny this impact. Not only in the WNBA, but in the world of sport. (NBA commissioner) Adam (Silver) and I talk about it all the time. It is the most popular athlete in America.”
Engelbert highlighted the balance that there must be due to a potential risk of injury, pointing to the knee injury of Juju Watkins in the NCAA women’s tournament.

She highlighted other stars in The Legue, notably the Las Vegas Aces Center A’ja Wilson, the Liberty Breanna Stewart striker and the minnesota Lynx Naphees Star Collar.
The first game of the season’s fever should lead to huge notes when Indiana opens the season against the Chicago sky.
