The president of the PCB, Mohsin Naqvi, interrupts the reduction of the match costs of the national T20 players

The president of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohin Naqvi, immediately took note of the reduction of match costs for domestic cricket players participating in the T20 national tournament, ordering managers to maintain the existing remuneration structure.

A PCB spokesperson confirmed that NAQVI has prohibited any reduction in game fees for players, ensuring that their financial incentives remain intact.

This development follows the reports according to which the match fees for domestic cricket players were going to be considerably reduced by a figure reported of 100,000 PKR per match at 10,000 PKR, reserve players now receiving only 5,000 PKR per game.

The tournament starts on March 15 in Faisalabad.

In response to the situation, Naqvi asked the Director of Domestic Cricket Abdullah Khurram Niazi to ensure that no change is made to the remuneration of players.

“The President of the PCB immediately interrupted any reduction in match costs for all players in the national T20 tournament,” said the spokesperson. “In addition, an immediate examination of the correspondence costs was ordered.”

NAQVI’s intervention underlines the commitment of the PCB to support domestic cricket players, in particular in a format which serves as a crucial platform for emerging talents.

The national T20 remains an essential element of the Pakistan cricket structure, offering players to present their skills and progress to higher competition levels.
