The price of gasoline increased by RE1, HSD RS7

Islamabad:

The government has announced an increase in prices for high -speed diesel (HSD) to Rs7 per liter, from February 1 (today).

The price of gasoline was also increased by RS1 per liter, with the changes fixed for the first half of February 2025.

High -speed diesel, which is widely used in the agriculture and transport sectors, will see an increase in prices from RS 260.95 to Rs 267.95 per liter, reflecting an increase in RS7.

This increase should have an inflationary impact on the masses, especially due to higher transport rates. Essence, which is mainly used in motorcycles and cars and serves as an alternative to the GNC – in particular in the province of Punjab – has been noted from RS256.13 to Rs 257.13 per liter, recording an increase in RS1 .

The increase in petrol prices follows the trend in increasing fuel costs, because consumers in Punjab are turning to IMPRIED LNG at GNC stations due to the continuous prohibition of using native gas, which has been in place for several years due to the country’s gas shortage.

In a statement, the Ministry of Finance said that PUIL & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had examined and adjusted consumer prices for petroleum products for recent fluctuations on the international oil market.

He also indicated that the prices of these products had been set for the first half of the current month.

Currently, the Government invoices a higher rate of oil deduction (PL) amounting to Rs 60 per liter each on petrol and diesel in order to receive more income from oil consumers.

OGREA has announced revised prices for LPG for February 2025, reflecting an increase in the rates of producers and GPL consumers.

According to the last notification, the price of LPG production has been set at RS212 672.54 per tonne or RS2,509.54 by 11.8 kg of cylinder, marking an increase in RS3 688.11 per tonne and 43.52 Rs by cylinder compared to January 2025.

Similarly, the price of LPG consumption has been revised at Rs253 972.54 per tonne or RS2 996.88 per 11.8 kg, reflecting the same increase in RS3 688.11 per tonne and 43.52 Rs per cylinder per cylinder per cylinder per cylinder per cylinder report to the previous month.

The OGRA said that the LPG producer’s price is linked to Saudi Aramco-CP and the US dollar exchange rate. Compared to the previous month, Saudi Aramco-CP increased by 1.6%.

The average exchange rate of the dollar increased slightly by 0.19%, which increased the price of the consumption of GPL of RS43.52 / 11.8 kg (1.47%). The increase per kg of the price of LPG consumption is RS3.68
