The price of tickets for the WNBA star match fell sharply after being announced that Caitlin Clark would miss the match with a groin injury.
Clark was to be a captain of the star team in its second season and would direct the Clark team on its home floor at Gainbridge Field House in Indianapolis.
The cheapest ticket prices on Tickpick reached $ 126, with an average resale price of $ 262, the highest in the history of the League.
Front Office Sports reported record prices on Wednesday, before Clark announced that she would miss the match.

At the time of publication, the cheapest tickets on Tickpick were $ 65, a drop of 48.4%.
Clark said on Thursday that she will not participate in the WNBA stars match or her festivities after seeming to worsen an injury to the groin that she suffered earlier in the season.

The injuries were Clark’s main scenario this season. She missed almost a dozen games because of the injuries, but still managed to run fans to vote for the star match.
It is not known how long Clark will be out.
