The provisional deposit of PTI leaders extended

Rawalpindi:

Friday, a special anti-terrorism courtyard (ATC) in Rawalpindi extended the provisional surety of the leaders of the PTI Aleema Khan, Alia Hamza, Nadia Khattak and Azam Swati until last week in June in the cases linked to party protests in Islamabad on November 24 and 26 of last year.

Aleema Khan, sister of the founder of PTI, Imran Khan; Alia Hamza, the chief organizer of Punjab, former federal minister Azam Swati and Nadia Khattak appeared before ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah.

During hearing arguments, arguments were presented on their deposit requests.

The court extended the provisional bond of Aleema Khan until June 26; Alia Hamza’s provisional deposit until June 27; And the surety of Swati and Khattak until June 28. The lawyers were responsible by the court to finish their arguments on the next hearing date.

Speaking to the media after the hearing, Aleema Khan and Alia Hamza criticized the government for the use of force against the PTI demonstration on November 26, 2024. They declared that PTI had organized a peaceful demonstration which is a constitutional and legal right of the party.
