The fingerprints of the browser follow users by collecting the details of the device to create a unique profile, allowing inter-site monitoring without cookies or static IPS.
Apple users looking for confidentiality web navigation now have a new option to block this type of follow -up in Psylo, a browser developed by Canadian Safety Researchers Talal Haj Bakry and Tommy MySk.
Available on the Apple App Store, it offers a new approach to online confidentiality via isolated browser tabs and integrated proxy protections.
Tab isolation
Psylo is built around the idea of isolating each browser tab like its own “silo”, with separate storage, cookies and even unique IP addresses.
This approach not only adds confidentiality, but makes user follow -up much more difficult. “Psylo stands out because it’s the only iOS browser based on webkit that really isolates the tabs,” said Tommy Mysk The register.
Each silo connects via Psylo’s private proxy network, offering more than 40 high -speed servers in places like Canada, Germany and Brazil.
Unlike traditional VPNs, which only mask IP addresses, Psylo adjusts the fingerprints of the browser by silo. It aligns the time zone and the system language with the selected proxy location, a characteristic aimed at preventing fingerprint techniques that can bypass VPN.
The application is completely autonomous. It does not change the system VPN parameters or requires no configuration.
Protections such as blocking the DNS level tracker and HTTPS automatic upgrades are integrated. There are no announcements, no crypto incentives and no AI agents in the background.
Psylo also authorizes the use of multiple accounts via web versions of social platforms like Instagram or X.
The tabs can be carried out side by side without sharing data or following information between them. Users can choose between persistent silos for daily navigation or ephemeral silos that delete data after closing.
MySK says that no navigation history, IP addresses or personally identifiable information is stored. Bandling data is the only thing recorded, and it is only linked to a random identifier created during registration. Apple manages all payment data.
Psylo is now available on iOS and iPados. Users can try it for free for seven days without creating an account. Monthly and annual subscriptions are available, from $ 9.99 per month.
