The PTI and the opposition agree on the polls not disputed in the Senate in Kp

Peshawar: the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the opposition parties reached an understanding to organize unat -disputed elections in the Senate, sources confirmed on Friday.

Under the agreement, six PTI candidates and five of the opposition should be elected without opposition. The head of the opposition in the KP assembly, Dr. Ibadullah, confirmed development.

Opposition nominees include Talha Mehmood, Attaul Haq, Rubina Khalid, Dilawar Khan and Niaz Ahmad. PTI candidates with elected officials include Murad Saeed, Faisal Javed, Mirza Afridi, Noor-Ul-Haq Qadri, Azam Swati and Rubina Naz.

After the final of the end of evening negotiations in the provincial capital, the chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur recorded a video message confirming the consensus in the presence of opposition leaders.

The chief minister also contacted PTI’s dissatisfied members in order to respond to their concerns and guarantee broader consensus.

The meeting was followed by Senator Talha Mehmood, Ataul Haq Darwesh, MPa Sajjadullah and Dr. Ibadullah of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), among other opposition personalities.

Meanwhile, the opposition has resolved internal fruits, the PML-N withdrawing its candidate in favor of the Jeu-F candidate for the minority seat.

In a related development, CM Gandapur signed a summary to convene a session of the Provincial Assembly on July 20 and transmitted it to Governor Faisal Karim Kundi.

During the session, newly elected members in seats reserved for women and minorities should take the oath, according to sources.

The internal divisions of PTI persist

The ruling party has decided to establish a committee of three members to manage dissent in its ranks.

In addition, the members of the PTI, in particular Irfan Saleem, Khurram Zeeshan and Ayesha Bano, who were refused the tickets of the Senate, chose not to withdraw their applications, such as the disclosure at a meeting of the candidates covering the party.

The trio met the secretary general of the PTI Salman Akram Raja and expressed his frustration in the face of the appointment process.

Raja should meet CM Gandapur later in the day, accompanied by injured leaders, to present their objections, added sources.

Meanwhile, tensions inside the party are not resolved, because the provincial management of the PTI has published a new priority list of candidates in the Senate.

The revised list omits the names of Mirza Afridi and Rubina Naz – despite previous indications for their selection.

The Ardoise Update now includes Murad Saeed, Irfan Saleem, Faisal Javed, Khurram Zeeshan, Azhar Mashwani, Noor-Ul-Haq Qadri and Azam Swati. According to sources, the list was officially sent to the president of the PTI by the provincial secretary of the party.
