- The public beta version iOS 26 could be launched this week, says a new report
- It is slightly delayed compared to the usual beta launch date
- It is unlikely that it will push the full version of iOS 26, expected in September
The beta version of the IOS 26 developer has released from the World Conference of Apple Developers (WWDC) in June 2025, but if you can’t wait to get your hands on the beta version without demanding a developer account, there are good news, because the IOS 26 public beta version should be launched this week.
It is according to the latest power of newsletter ($ / £) by Bloomberg Mark Gurman journalist. There, Gurman revealed that “all the indications are that iOS 26 should enter the public beta phase the coming week”.
This will bring the iOS operating system updated to a much wider audience than it has currently done, although it is not the full version and ready to take – which is scheduled for September, in parallel with the revelation of the iPhone 17 range.
In an article on X last week, Gurman said that the IOS 26 public beta version could be launched on Wednesday July 23 or around the surroundings, and that the following power on the update seems to suggest that Gurman remains confident with this calendar.
New features to come soon
Gurman’s report has also briefly approached iOS 27, which should be released in 2026. Gurman believes that Apple has already started development on this software, which, according to him, will focus on the features intended for the Apple foldable iPhone.
It would be the launch in the second half of 2026, or perhaps at the beginning of 2027, and will mark Apple’s first attempt to overthrow the best current foldable phones on the market. So there is a lot of pressure on Apple to do things well, perhaps explaining the early start on iOS 27.
In the past, Apple has tended to publish its public beta iOS around mid-July, so the launch date of July 23 is a little later than usual. Gurman attributes this to the redesign of liquid glass in its own right in iOS 26, saying: “It is logical that Apple wants to take a little more time to do things correctly.”
But Gurman is not concerned with a training effect of this delayed public release date, adding that it is unlikely that it is rejecting the unveiling of the full version of iOS 26.
Aside iOS 26, Apple will almost certainly publish public beta for MacOS 26, iPados 26, Watchos 26, TVOS 26 and an update of the HomePod operating system at the same time.
The iOS 26 upgrade brings a radically revised look and sensation thanks to the redesign of liquid glass, as well as increased protection against spam appellants, a new game application, Apple Intelligence updates, and more.
And with the public beta version supposed to be launched this week, you will soon be able to try them for yourself-just remember to remember your iPhone first in case something is wrong.
