- A renowned source claims that the first public version iOS 26 will land on July 23 or around July 23
- It would be later in the year that usual
- There is already an iOS 26 beta developer
It’s been more than a month since iOS 26 has been announced, and although it is available in the beta developer, public beta has not yet been launched. But we now have a good idea when the first public beta version could land.
According to Apple Watch, Mark Gurman, in an answer to an article on X by @parkerortolani, the first public version iOS 26 will probably land on July 23 or around July 23.
It is a bit unusual, because we would have generally had the first public beta version before that. For example, the first public beta version of iOS 18 was launched on July 15 of last year, following its announcement on June 10. So this year, iOS 26 having been unveiled on June 9, we would have supposed to have the first public version.
A valid wait
However, if Gurman is right, there is not too much time to wait, and it should also be worth waiting, because iOS 26 is a significant upgrade of the Apple smartphones operating system.
It includes a completely new look, with more rounded and transparent elements, as well as redesigned telephone and camera applications, a new Apple Games application, and more.
Of course, we take the claim of it, or around July 23, with a pinch of salt, in particular with it later than normal. But Gurman has a superb experience for Apple information, and anyway we expect her to land soon.
If you can’t wait a little longer, you can always enter the developer’s beta version – the next version of which could even land before July 23. To get it, see how to install the beta version of the iOS 26 developer.
