The Punjab cabinet, under the direction of chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, approved a series of important decisions, including a package of 30 billion RS Ramadan and the recruitment of nearly 6,000 agents.

The meeting, which took place under the chairmanship of CM Maryam, granted the approval of the “Nigahban Ramadan” package, an initiative of 30 billion rupees aimed at benefiting from 30 million people.

The CM announced that from next year, the atm card of the “Nigahban Ramadan” package will be introduced, which will allow people from Punjab to receive 10,000 rupees at home without needing to stand in long lines waiting.

Maryam has approved a key policy to mitigate the process for investors and businesses because the government is determined to make Punjab an industrialization center, offering a wide range of incentives to entrepreneurs.

She stressed that investors would be welcomed to establish industries in the province without facing long bureaucratic processes. “Investors should come, install industries and start working, while legal procedures will follow later,” she said.

The cabinet has also approved a “zero time to start” policy for special economic areas (ZES), industrial areas and small industrial areas. The objective is to provide business owners with an accelerated process to obtain objection certificates (NOC) and to promote a friendly environment.

“We want to provide all possible installations to manufacturers in Punjab,” said Maryam Nawaz Sharif. “We encourage the creation of the most industries as possible, with an immediate CNO program. We will simplify the complex processes for the implementation of industries and we will ensure that they are easier and more suitable for businesses.”

The firm also approved the recruitment of 5,960 police officers and the introduction of free travel for special and elderly people in the public transport system. In addition, an agreement was also concluded to introduce a special student travel card for students, and the chief minister asked for a plan for the launch of a tram service.

In another important decision, the provincial office approved the funding of Rs. 580 million for the purchase of a “cryoablation” machine for cancer patients, offering an alternative to chemotherapy.

Funds have also been approved to improve Punjab special education centers to centers of excellence. The chief minister ordered that these centers are made more accessible and friendly for people with disabilities.

The meeting included a decision in principle to introduce special transport services for people with disabilities in Punjab. In addition, the Punjab Mass Transit Authority approved the softening of the freeze for 127 positions, while the children’s protective and well-being office was authorized to recruit for 87 positions. The age limit for positions in basic and clinical sciences has also been increased to 65 years.

Other approvals included the recruitment of staff for 25 positions in ICT stations specializing in health care and medical education and 4 staff positions in Dansh schools in Tunsh and Mankira. Likewise, the forest department has received approval from additional subsidies to fill the vacancies.

A decision in principle has also been made concerning the recruitment of 500 positions as part of the MERIELE traffic management plan, and amendments to the 1965 motor vehicle order were approved for the implementation of An Excel road management system in Punjab.

In addition, the cabinet approved the supply of 1,000 free tractors instead of property income for wheat farmers. It has also been decided to gradually replace 353 1122 rescue vehicles, starting with 117 ambulances in the first phase.
