New York Play-By-Play Play-Play Advertiser Gary Cohen criticized Chicago Cubs’ third goal Matt Shaw for skipping a match on Sunday for witnessing the Charlie Kirk memorial in Arizona, and New York sports radio hosts torn him on Wednesday morning.
Gregg de Wfan, Giannotti, co-host of “Boomer and Gio”, exploded Cohen, who opposed Shaw by attending the memorial. Kirk’s wife Erika has stood hand on Shaw personally to attend her friendship. The Cubs, in the middle of a pennant race, lost the match of Sunday 1-0 against the Reds of Cincinnati.
“Me, very frankly, did not like his comment, and I will not now hate Gary Cohen. He is a big broadcaster, he has been part of my life for a long time. I thought it was completely useless,” said Giannotti above the waves.

“All the life of Gary Cohen was baseball, and baseball is a very serious thing for him. But Matt Shaw saw his friend shoot himself and killing himself shot in the neck in front of his family and his wife asked that he is there. And Gary Cohen has a problem with that because the cubs are in a pennant race? Have we lost all the touch here?”
Cohen said he did not want to speak of “any policy”, but Giannotti and his co-host, the former quarter-arre of the NFL Boomer Esiason, believe that the second who was raised in his declaration made him political.
“You enter politics by saying this,” said Esiaston.

Cohen also mentioned that the absence of Shaw was not under the mlb mourning policy.
“Who gives a shit? If he wants to go, he can go,” said Giannotti. “And don’t be angry with him. Why are you crazy, why do you care, I have no idea. But be angry with the Cubs who gave him the ability to go.”
EsiSon added: “I saw the interview with [Shaw] And he was talking about the way he was friendly with Charlie Kirk because they lived in the same region. There are some photos of him and Charlie Kirk together, and if Erika Kirk contacted him, what are you supposed to do? “”
Then Giannotti asked Cohen.

“Let’s say that we didn’t know who Charlie Kirk was, and Matt Shaw was a friend with someone who had been shot in the neck and killed in front of his family.
Cohen’s comments arrived late in the game between the food and the cubs on Tuesday evening when Shaw was ready to beat.
“The idea of leaving your team in the middle of a race for any reason that is other than a family emergency seems really bizarre,” said Cohen.

His broadcasting partner, the former large fever Todd Zeile, added to Cohen’s feeling.
“It is unusual, I think it is unprecedented, at least thanks to my experience as a player, and I think it made a little more unusual than it was only revealed after being in question because it was supposed to be in the shelter and perhaps available, and it was not thus revealed,” said Zeile.
Shaw explained to media members on Tuesday evening why he had made a duty to attend the memorial despite the calendar of his team.
“My connection with Charlie was through our [Christian] Faith, “said that before the Cubs, opened a new series with New York dishes on Tuesday, according to the Sun-Totes Chicago.” And this is something that leads me every day, the reason why I am able to do what I do every day, and this is something that I am extremely grateful.
“I know that without my faith and without the many blessings that have been given to me in my life, that I would not be here, that I could speak to you, capable of helping this team finally winning championships.

“This is something that I really feel, really blessed, so whatever the backlash is ok. I feel strong about my faith and that what had to happen.”
Kirk, from Arlington Heights, a northern suburb of Chicago, was “one of the biggest fans of the Cubs that I have ever met,” said Shaw. After a conversation with manager Craig Counsell and certain teammates, Shaw said his decision to attend the memorial was accepted.
“The reason Charlie and I connected so close was because of our faith,” added Shaw. “This is something that motivates me every day, something I think all the time. So, if people wonder who I am and what I represent, I would say that my faith and the many blessings that have been given to me are why I can be here, and I just want to love people in the same way as I was blessed.”
