While JT Miller is widely known as a hockey star, he recently shot in the golf course.
Miller participated in a US Open qualifier in 2025 Tuesday, and he missed the cup.
Miller, during his second visit with the New York Rangers, finished the qualification event in Pennsylvania with a 46 out of 76. Miller was four shots to go to a playoff series to be a substitute.

It was not Miller’s first golf attempt. The NHL All-Star told 93.7 the fan he had played in at least three qualifications in the past.

Miller also admitted that nerves played a role on Tuesday.

“Today, on the first green, I couldn’t even hold the putter,” he said via NHL.com. “So I told myself that it wouldn’t be like that. But I think the first two oscillations are like that.”

Although Miller appreciates, he could swing golf for “One Day”, he does not seem interested in making a permanent career change.
“I had the opportunity to play for a day,” said Miller. “I know who I play there. I am a competitive guy, so I just kept realistic expectations. I’m happy with myself.”
The Rangers did not qualify for the 2025 eliminatory series.
