In a first for Pakistan, the construction of the passage of the passage of the Jinnah Square Road in Islamabad should be completed in just 35 days, marking an important step in the development of the country’s infrastructure. The project is part of a larger corridor initiative without signaling aimed at mitigating the congestion of traffic at Islamabad airport in Murrier.
The Federal Minister of the Interior, Mohsin Naqvi, visited the site to inspect the progress and the managers directed to guarantee the completion in time without compromising the quality. “Speed is important, but quality should not be compromised,” he said during the visit.
The underground passage, which will extend over 479 meters and will have three traffic lanes, is also part of a wider effort to improve connectivity and reduce the journey time.
The plan includes the widening of an adjacent bridge with two additional tracks on each side, and widen four sliding roads nearby to facilitate the more fluid flow flow.
Minister NAQVI also asked the authorities to manage alternative traffic provisions during construction in order to minimize the disadvantages of the public. He said that the corridor without sign will benefit local residents and tourists by attacking long -standing congestion problems in the capital and improving access to Murriere.
The president of the capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, informed the Minister of the Statute of the Project, declaring that work on the structure and the road network is progressing rapidly. He expressed his confidence that the project will respect the ambitious deadline.
