Fewer people watch live television at a time from the best streaming services. With so many fingers, it is not surprising that people choose to look at “On Demand”, so Channel 5 decided to rationalize its content in one.
Combining Canal 5 and the Streaming Service My 5 to be simply known as “5”. They did it to create a clear brand, although this confused certain viewers, according to the independent reports.
Explaining the decision, Sarah Rose, 5 -year -old president, said: “This is the start of a new and exciting era for 5 while we bring together our linear and streaming services under a single clear brand.”
She added: “All that our audience and our advertisers already like about Channel 5 will be at the heart of this revival – but there will be much more, with a huge range of content from the Paramount and beyond, new live channels and a brand new user experience for our streaming product.”
This movement is very similar to that of Rival Channel 4, which got rid of its All4 streaming service to be collectively known as “Channel 4” on linear canals and streaming. There is also a freely called streaming service, which presents the greatest number of British television channels in the same roof, so it seems that the stress of streaming increases in popularity.
What is it freely?
French was launched in 2024, and Techradar’s streaming editor, Amelia Schwanke, had an overview of freely, where she gave an excellent overview of the service.
Essentially, it offers a way to broadcast both live television and the demand of British broadcasters like BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 (now “5”) without requiring dish or antenna, which makes it a great way for people to watch a multitude of content without having to broadcast the television of the old school.
It seems that 5 will also bring more content because of their recent brand change.
