Indiana fever has struck a roadblock in its quest for a WNBA championship.
The team announced on Monday that Caitlin Clark will miss at least two weeks with a quad injury. It will be the first time at the college or professional level that it will miss the regular season matches due to an injury.
However, head coach Stephanie White said there was a silver lining so that Clark cannot play.

“I think it’s an excellent opportunity for Caitlin to watch the match from the touch, to grow in a sort of coaching mentality and to see different things that we could talk about on the film, address the practice, see it developing live,” said White, via CBS Sports. “As players you see [the game] In a micro-point view, and when you are on the touch, and you look at it as a whole, you can see it in a different way from a macro point of view. I think it will give her a unique perspective, and she will come back better, and it will help us to be better. “”
“It’s great to grow when you are on the ground, but you also see the game at different levels when you are not on the ground,” added White. “You see it at a level or two levels when you are on the ground, and you often [equate] He is in the mindset of a coach, being in the point of view of a coach. We listen to us as well as our conversations, whether in practice or on the sidelines, talk about our accent, what we are looking for and you see it in a different perspective. “”

Clark does not seem to need a lot of learning. She is already on a par for the WNBA record for the more than 20 points of 10 points and 10 assistants in the history of the League and set the record last year for the most spent in a single season.
Clark scored a 27 -point summit last Tuesday against Atlanta’s dream. She lost more than 20 points in each of her first two games before she was content with only 11 Thursday, then 18 years on Saturday against New York Liberty title champion.
It is not known when she suffered the injury. She played each of the four fever games to start the season, and Indiana went 2-2 to start the year, and had at least a double-double in three of these competitions.
Clark will miss a huge period of fever matches, starting with Wednesday’s match on the road against the mystics of Washington. This is the first of the two games against Washington.
