Islamabad:
Federal and provincial governments have agreed to launch a massive and national repression against counterfeit and lower quality medicine from May 19.
During repression, in -depth inspections and implementing measures will be carried out with complete coordination between the Federation, the provinces, customs, FIA and other relevant agencies.
Pharmaceutical factories and distribution networks will also be subject to strict surveillance, while market surveillance and surprise raids will be carried out on the basis of confidential complaints.
This was decided at a high -level meeting of the provincial health ministers organized under the presidency of the Federal Minister of Health Mustafa Kamal.
According to the spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, the meeting examined the efforts in progress to eliminate false and poor quality drugs and made a series of important decisions. Federal and provincial governments have jointly reaffirmed their commitment to public well-being and collective action.
“It is not only a working group, it is a national responsibility,” said Kamal.
