The return healthy and sounds of the ex-stenator Mushtaq is likely in the coming days (FO)

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Monday that it hoped that the safe evacuation of former Senator Mushtaq Ahmad would be “successfully completed in the coming days”.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, through its embassy in Amman, works tirelessly to ensure the safe evacuation of former Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan,” FO said in a statement.

“With the invaluable help of the Jordanian government, we hope that the process can be successfully concluded in the coming days,” added the press release.

“We are deeply grateful to Jordan’s brother government for its exemplary cooperation and generous support.”

Earlier Sunday, FO said in a statement that diplomatic sources in a European friendly country had confirmed that the former senator from Jamaat-I-Islami (JI) Mushtaq Ahmad Khan was safe and under the care of Israeli occupation forces.

Ahmad was arrested by Israeli forces when he was on the Global Sumud flotilla, as confirmed on October 2. Ahmad directed the Pakistani delegation of five members part of the Global Sumud flotilla.

“We have also been informed that, in accordance with local procedures, Ahmad will be presented to a court. Once the expulsion orders have been issued, his repatriation will be facilitated in an accelerated manner.”

According to the press release, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had already taken measures for the safe return of people separated from the flotilla during the initial phase.

In an article on X, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, head of Jamaat-I-Islaami, confirmed his conversation with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, saying that he had urged the Prime Minister to “accelerate efforts” for the release and the recovery of Mushtaq Ahmad Khan.
