The all-nba goalkeeper Damian Lillard has returned to action for the first time since March 18, but could not help the Milwaukee Bucks to overcome the Pacers of Indiana.
Pascal Siakam collected 24 points and 11 rebounds and Tyrese Haliburton added 21 points and 12 assists to lead the Pacers after the Bucks 123-115 Tuesday evening for a 2-0 lead in the series of playoffs of the first round.
Indiana has won five of the last six playoffs between the teams and has never dragged it into it. The Pacers had lost three of the four regular season games against the Bucks. The teams will meet for the 18th time in the last two seasons on Friday, when match 3 will be played in Milwaukee.
The MVP of the League twice Giannis Antetokounmpo collected 34 points, 18 rebounds and seven assists, and Lillard collected 14 points in his first match of deep venous thrombosis in his right calf. Lillard was 4 out of 13 on the field in 37 minutes, in his first action match since March 18 and his first eliminatory match with Antetokounmpo, which heard a regular countdown of countdown on its free throws.
Bobby Portis Jr. finished with 28 points, including six 3 points and 12 rebounds for the Bucks.
The game had a little of everything. There was a fight in front of the Pacers bench which led to double technical faults, words between several players in the last minutes, the players hit the ground several times, a small area defense, a full pressure handle and, of course, a lot of points.
However, Indiana checked the whole match after running in an advance of 31-16 in less than 7 1/2 minutes. The Bucks used a sequence of 13-0 at the end of 135-113 with 2:31 to go before Indiana closed it with a race of 8-2 to finish the match.
