On Friday, the president and former Prime Minister of the Muslim League of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif said on Friday that he was encouraging that all political parties in Parliament are united on questions concerning national defense and security.
He expressed these points of view at a meeting with Senator Irfan Siddiqui, head of the PML-N parliamentary party in the Senate and president of the permanent foreign senatorial committee, today in Raiwind.
Nawaz Sharif said that this role of parliamentarians will promote national cohesion and create an atmosphere of unity and solidarity among the people.
The Siddiqui senator informed Sharif about the performance of the PML-N parliamentary party in the Senate.
He also mentioned the resolution expressing unity towards national defense, which was prepared with a mutual consultation and was adopted unanimously in the upper room.
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also declared that although dissent is the beauty of democracy, the reservation of all the differences for the great cause of national defense is commendable.
