The Foreign Office (FO) says that he is working tirelessly to ensure a safe evacuation with the help of the Jordanian government.
“We are deeply grateful to Jordan’s fraternal government for their exemplary cooperation and generous support,” he added.
In a statement published on X on Sunday, the FO said that diplomatic sources in a friendly European country have confirmed that the former senator from Jamaat-I-Islami (JI) Mushtaq Ahmad Khan is safe and under the care of Israeli occupation forces.
Mushtaq Ahmad Khan was arrested by Israeli forces aboard the World Flotilla Sumud, as confirmed on October 2. Ahmad directed the Pakistani delegation of five members as part of the Flotilla Global Sumud.

“We have also been informed that, in accordance with local procedures, Ahmad will be presented to a court. During the issuance of expulsion orders, his repatriation will be facilitated on an accelerated basis.”
According to the press release, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had already taken measures for the safe return of people separated from the flotilla in the initial phase.
In an article on X, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, a main member of Jamaat-I-Islaami, confirmed his conversation with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, saying that he had urged the Prime Minister to “accelerate efforts” for the release and restoration of Mushtaq Ahmad Khan. He said the Prime Minister informed him that the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar had received this responsibility.

Thousands of people in Karachi and other major cities and cities of the Sindh came out on the roads to denounce the Israeli attack against the aid ships going to Gaza on October 4.

The Global Sumud Flotilla, carrying medication and food in Gaza, included more than 40 civil boats with around 500 parliamentarians, lawyers and activists.
Flotilla has published several videos on Telegram with messages from individuals aboard the various boats, some holding their passports and claiming that they were abducted and taken to Israel against their will, and reiterating that their mission was a non -violent humanitarian cause.
The flotilla is the most prominent symbol of the opposition to the blocking of Israel of Gaza.
His progress through the Mediterranean Sea have drawn international attention while nations, especially Turkey, Spain and Italy, have sent boats or drones in case their nationals require help, even if it has triggered repeated warnings from Israel to go back.
