- Disclosed screenshots show a “confidentiality display” feature that could be available on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra
- This could ensure that the screen is only visible to certain angles, so snoopers cannot see it
- Samsung also works on a “privacy protection” functionality to whiten sensitive data in shared images
The leaks suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S26 series may not have many specifications, but rather than focusing on cameras and batteries this year, Samsung could rather give priority to confidentiality tools on its next flagship programming.
The first of these tools, nicknamed “ confidentiality display ”, can automatically light up when certain conditions are met, for example when you use sensitive applications or when you are in overcrowded areas, and once activated, it would be more difficult for people to see your screen.
This feature was apparently found by X User @Achultra (via GSMARENA) in a user interface code 8.5-that is to say that the functionality is not active in the current IU 8.5 test builds, but the relevant parameter screens can be found if you dig enough in the code.

It is not clear according to the screenshots above exactly how this higher level confidentiality would be made, but we have already heard that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra could control the pixels to make the screen less visible to certain angles – similar to what you can already do with the privacy screen protectors, but without having to apply one of those of the phone, or do it all the time.
It should be noted that the screenshots of this last leak have several typing faults, which makes us ask us if they are really authentic, but as it is not the first time that we have heard of such a functionality, it could well happen in the two directions. I hope this is the case, because it could be a really very useful software tip to avoid screen snaopers on public transport.
Protect your privacy in shared images
And it is not the only privacy functionality that could come to the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, as Samobile identified a functionality entitled “Privacy Protection” in an IU 8.5.
This tool can automatically blur or delete sensitive information from the images you share. So, for example, if you share a photo of your driving license or your passport, you can choose to have an element that you do not want to be rooted.
It is not actually a completely new feature, as Samobile points out, but so far it is only available in China. With an 8.5 user interface, however – which should not be launched in finished form before 2026 – it apparently deploys more widely.
It is likely that this privacy protection feature will work more than the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, but the confidentiality display functionality would be exclusive to the next flagship product of Samsung. At the very least, this will probably not work on existing phones, as it probably needs new equipment, while the jamming of the content in the images can be carried out only with the software.
