- The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 was compared before the release
- The scores are very low for a high -end phone
- Clock speeds are also surprisingly low
If you expected flagship performance of the next foldable phone from Samsung, you could be a shock, because a first Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 reference suggests that this will not be disturbing the Samsung Galaxy S25 series or other high -end phones.
Shared by the abhishek yadav leak on X (via GSMarena), the reference reported shows the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 using an Exynos 2500 chipset and with 12 GB of RAM.
There was some disagreement on the chipset that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 would use – while most sources indicated this Exynos option, others had suggested that an elite Snapdragon 8 could be used instead.
So, this reference is more proof that we will get exynos, and as the model number here is for an American version of the phone, we will probably see the exynos 2500 chipset used on a global scale (because when Samsung uses different chipsets in different regions, the United States generally obtains snapdragon).

This year phone with last year’s scores
In any case, this could be bad news, because the monocore score of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 of 2,012 and the multi -world result of 7,563 are essentially a generation behind what we see of the Snapdragon 8 elite – which is the chipset used by most high -end Android phones this year.
Interestingly, as Gsmarena notes, nuclei here have much lower clock speeds than rival chipsets, which is probably a factor in poor performance. It is not clear if these speeds are the standard for this chipset – which has not yet appeared in any available phone – or if Samsung has reduced the speeds of Z Flip 7 to avoid heat accumulation.
As this is an early reference, it is also possible that the released model has higher clock speeds, and even if it is not the case, other optimizations before the release could lead to improved results. But at the moment, going anyway on this reference, it does not seem that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 will impress with regard to power.
We should discover it with certainty in July, because it is at this moment that Samsung will most likely unveil this phone – probably alongside the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, which should fortunately get started with the Snapdragon 8 elite instead.
