For many years now, we have gotten used to the launch of Apple its best iPhones all together in September – more recently the iPhone 16 series – but if a new report must believe, that planning could be planned for a major reshuffle in the years to come.
According to information (via macrumors), Apple plans to stick to the September versions for the pro and pro max models, while passing other iPhones in the spring in the United States (so likely towards Mars).
The idea is that the separation of iPhone launches like this “rejuvenated long sales”, according to the information report. There also seems to be a certain uncertainty about how the next air of the iPhone 17 Ultra-thin will be sold.
It seems that these changes are not planned for this year, but will rather be set up next year – with the iPhone 18 Pro, the iPhone 18 Pro Max and the iPhone 18 Air launched in September 2026, and the standard iPhone 18 and most likely the iPhone 18th, then arrived in March 2027.
Everything changes
The information recognizes that there is risks involved in shaking this calendar for a long time. However, it is believed that this will persuade consumers to upgrade more regularly, while lightening the production pressure on Apple’s manufacturing partners.
Another reason for the switch: to make room for the foldable iPhone, expected in 2026. Putting the cheapest iPhones to a launch window earlier in the year means more production capacity for a new model.
