Islamabad:
On Thursday, the permanent senatorial committee of parliamentary affairs discussed Thursday of the feasibility and the implementation of electronic voting systems, in particular for the Pakistanis abroad, focusing on the guarantee of accessibility, security and electoral integrity.
The meeting, chaired by senator Dr Mohammad Humayun Mohmand, stressed the importance of facilitating the participation of foreign citizens in the democratic process without compromising the transparency and reliability of the elections.
The discussion has also included a comparative analysis of the existing electoral system of the post (FPTP).
