The president of the Senate Committee on industries and production made a strong exception to the absence of the secretary of industries and production, warning of the action against him.
A meeting of the Committee chaired by Senator Aun Abbas Bappi expressed his dissatisfaction with the absence of the Minister and the Secretary.
Senator Dash Kumar noted that it was the second time that the secretary had jumped the panel meeting, declaring: “If he does not participate, I will leave the meeting.”
The chairman of the committee criticized the secretary, stressing that neither the minister nor the secretary had attended. He announced his intention to write to the President of the Senate, urging the action against the secretary.
Expressing frustration, he pointed out that the 22 -year -old officer has shown little or no respect for the committee. “We have the right to file a request for privilege against the secretary,” he said.
An official of the Ministry of Industries and Production informed the Committee that the secretary attended an important meeting, which is why he could not be present.
In response, the chairman of the committee questioned the secretary’s priorities, declaring: “What could be more important than this meeting? The members of the committee traveled from Karachi and Balutchistan to attend, but the secretary, although he was in Islamabad, did not appear. “
