The shaman’s border is closed after the explosion

The number of deaths of the deadly explosion on Thursday near the Pakistani-Afghanistan border in Shaman went to six, while another injured man died of his injuries, doctors at the Civil Hospital of Shaman confirmed on Friday, saying that three other people had remained under treatment.

The explosion occurred near a taxi stand in the refugee camp area near the border frequented by travelers and residents. Police sources have described the explosion “an explosion of suicide” which made a living of at least five people.

The first reports said four people died, but two of the injured died of their injuries while being transferred to the hospital, the officials said, adding that the movement through the border had been interrupted when the explosion investigation continued.

The border closure, as well as the suspension of Internet services in the city and the adjacent areas, have left hundreds of Afghan families blocked in burning heat. Long vehicle queues have been formed on both sides.

Security was tightened on the Shaman’s border in the aftermath of the bombing, the security staff now a high vigilance.
