The Sindh government imposed article 144 through the province and prohibited from driving in the 9th and 10th in Muharram, according to an official notification published on Wednesday.
The decision is part of the security measures during the month of Muharram, aimed at maintaining the law and order during the trials and religious gatherings, reported Express News.
According to the notification, children under the age of 12, the elderly and journalists will be exempt from the ban on horse riding. The transport of weapons under license has also been prohibited and all weapons permits will remain suspended in the province.
The ministry also prohibited the use of drone cameras from 1 to 10 of Muharram and prohibited the organization of gatherings or rallies without prior authorization from the authorities.
