- Sixunited launches a 16 -inch light laptop powered by Ryzen Ai Max + 395 APU
- The Strix Halo processor of AMD has been mainly found in mini PCs to date a few expensive exceptions
- The large battery of 99.9Wh offers long execution time while keeping weight under 1.8 kg
Sixunited, a relatively unknown laptop manufacturer in Shanghai, China, unveiled a new notebook that arrives in front of Dell and Lenovo to adopt the latest high -end laptop processor from AMD.
The XN77-160M-CS has the Ryzen AI Max + 395 APU AMD, also known as Halo Strix, a 16-core chip with 3.5 integrated navy graphics and an NPU 50 tops.
This APU has been rare on the laptop computers market, with only a handful of models, such as the Ultra G1A Zbook of HP and Asus Rog Flow Z13 announced so far.
Large capacity battery
Sixunited will offer two thermal configurations, 85W and 120W, both supported by a double channel cooling system, and associated with an LPDDR5X memory (level not at level) operating up to 8000 mt / s.
The storage comes from two PCIE 4.0×4 SSDs in M.2 2280 format, allowing large and fast configurations.
The most notable aspects of the new laptop are perhaps its 99.9Wh battery, which is the largest authorized capacity for most airlines.
Despite the large battery, the chassis weighs less than 1.8 kg and is built with aluminum and Mylar materials.
The laptop includes a 16 -inch screen with a 2560×1600 resolution with a 165 Hz cooling rate and 100%SRGB coverage, with an OLED version also provided for the future.
Video Notes The XN77-160M-CS is a bare design, which means that it can appear under different brand names. Sixunited often acts as an OEM supplier for other companies.
The price remains unknown for the moment, but it is unlikely that it is cheap. For comparison, the AI Max + 395 laptop from Asus starts at $ 2099, while the HP device is at a price of $ 4099.
The Sixunited movement adds another option for those looking for a compact but powerful laptop with an extended battery life.
It also highlights an increasing interest in the Strix Halo platform of AMD, which to date has mainly appeared in mini-PCs such as the GMKTEC Evo-X2, Beelink AI Mini and Aoostar Nex395.
