Before the BUCS pre-season final, head coach Todd Bowles congratulated Sanders for his efforts on special teams and his overall aggression on the football field.
“Shilo is very aggressive, very young, very hungry,” said Bowles last week. “He can play games in the box and we know that he can endeavor and give us 100% in special teams, so this last week will be very important for these guys.”

Bowles later said that Sanders’ decision -making during the field altercation was inexcusable.
“You can’t punch in this league. I mean, it’s inexcusable,” he said. “They will get you every time. You have to grow from that.”

In a video published on social networks Thursday, Sanders shed light on the next step for his career.
“I have the impression that this is only part of my story to grow up and do bigger and better things. Whether it’s another team, whether it is another opportunity in the NFL, that’s what it is,” said Sanders in the video. “My time being with the Buccaneers was only brilliant. The city, my teammates, my coaches, everyone has paid in love and support for me and I will be eternally gratefully for that.”
He suggested that there could be a career for him outside of football, including music or modeling.
“I’m going to talk to my agent and we are waiting for the next opportunity. If it is in the NFL, cool, but God blessed me with a lot of talent to do things other than football,” he added.
Tampa Bay visits his rival NFC South, the Falcons of Atlanta, on September 7 to open the regular season.
