The star of Indiana Fever, Sophie Cunningham, did not save the head this season, but this time, the WNBA strikes its wallet for this.
Cunningham revealed that a recent post Tiktok, where she called “a few referees” in the WNBA, led to a fine of $ 500.
“I received a fine of $ 500 for this tiktok,” wrote Cunningham on X with Emojis laughing. “”[I don’t know] Why it’s funny for me … like ok [thumb emoji] You have a bud! Because there are no more important things to worry about our league right now. “”

In the video, Cunningham wrote “@ some refs” and synchronized the lyrics of the song of the pop star of Sabrina Carpenter “Manchild”.
“Stupid. Or is it slow?
Although it is not developed, “more important things to worry” that Cunningham has probably referenced may concern the current message of players surrounding the negotiations in progress between the League and the Union of Players on a new collective agreement.

WNBA players expressed the desire for more money, which was fully exposed with t-shirts by reading “Pay us what you owe us” before the star match last weekend.
Cunningham may not have played in the game, but she recently brought the WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert, in a conversation with a journalist.

“You can just tell Cathy to pay us, then we can have a discussion,” said Cunningham when asked if the WNBA season was too long or too short.
Cunningham, who assumed the role of impercussing with fever, called the referees and the league in the past so as not to protect his teammate from Superstar Caitlin Clark.
She launched a blow last month by speaking of her fiery nature on the ground, especially when she came to the defense of Clark against Connecticut Sun. She entered a fight with the Solier Guard Jacy Sheldon, which pushed Clark into the eye earlier in the game. They were both ejected from the game with 40 seconds, but Cunningham was not finished broadcasting her grievances at the time.
“During that, it was just part of the game. I think the referees had a lot to do with it,” she said. “It was an accumulation for a few years now, not protecting the star player of the WNBA. In the end, I will protect my teammates. That’s what I do.”
