In a statement published on Tuesday, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Shafqat Ali Khan, said that at the time when international efforts were underway to promote regional peace and stability, the remarks of the Indian Prime Minister Modre represent a dangerous escalation rooted in disinformation, political opportunism and a flagrant disorder of international law. “This declaration also reflects a propensity to make misleading stories to justify the attack,” he added.
Khan said Pakistan remains attached to the recent understanding of the ceasefire and continues to take the necessary measures towards de-escalation and regional stability.

Stressing the role of India in the sponsorship of terrorism in Pakistan, Khan said: “Pakistan is a victim of terrorism which is directly sponsored by India.
