The USC female basketball star Juju Watkins exceeded one of the biggest Caitlin Clark milestones on Sunday evening and got closer to another step to exceed Clark in university basketball records.
In a 72-67 defeat against the UCLA during the Big 10 championship match, Watkins collected 29 points to officially exceed the Clark brand for the points scored by a player in his first two seasons.
Clark collected 1,662 points in its first two seasons, while Watkins now has 1,684. This puts Watkins just behind Kelsey Mitchell for the most part by any player in his first two seasons, because Mitchell holds the record with 1,762.

However, Watkins has a chance to exceed Mitchell and win even more fields on Clark, because she has not yet played in the NCAA tournament of this year.
Watkins has a chance to beat Clark’s record for most points scored by a basketball player, men or women, in the history of the NCAA. Clark beat the brand in its historic senior season in 2023-24, with 3,951.
Watkins replaced Clark as the face of female university basketball after Clark began his WNBA career last year, and the teenager admits that clark the Clark record is something she keeps in mind.
“Naturally, being at rhythm, it’s still in my mind,” Watkins said to PK Press Club Digital in an exclusive interview. “The objective is to continue to produce at this level and do it as effectively as possible.”

However, Watkins said that she “wanted” that she could not play like Clark, who is by far the best 3 -point shooter.
“I would like to play like her,” said Watkins.

“So many new fans being sometimes in sport can be, not necessarily difficult, but can simply give you a little headache. Not many people know what they are talking about sometimes. But it’s great for sport. The fact that people are looking at it,” said Watkins, when it was previously asked by PK Press Club Digital in an exclusive interview with the new attention of sport.
“We would like it to be positive, but it will not always be like that, so as long as we continue to increase the figures and the viewer, I think that is all we can ask.”
