Gifford, who also shares the seven -year -old son Jake with the actress, cited irreconcilable differences as a reason for the split, by Tmz.
The father of one asked for the joint legal and physical custody of his child and did not ask for support from the spouse.
The former couple, who married in 2017, began to go out together in 2007 before becoming engaged a year later in 2008.
