Saquon Barkley had just finished his recruit season with the Giants of New York and was not at all focused on the very first parade of the victory of the Super Bowl of Philadelphia in the city of Fraternal Love in February 2019.
Seven years later, Barkley was a catalyst in the Eagles beating the Chiefs of Kansas City to win the Super Bowl on Sunday in his first year with the franchise. And he will be one of the players that each fan of the streets of Philadelphia will want to see during the Friday parade.
The parade, which starts at 11:00 a.m. in the sports complex and ends with a ceremony on the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, should be even greater than the parade in February 2019, when Jason Kelce entertains a crowd in a mummers Suit.

Barkley had a little overview of what to expect on Friday when he made an appearance on Thursday at Raising Cane’s in Trevose, Pennsylvania, alongside the founder of the chicken chain, Todd Graves. Fans of the Eagles were lined up at 5 am to see and thank Barkley for bringing the Lombardi trophy to the city.
Addressing journalists, Barkley admitted that he did not know what to expect when he travels around Philadelphia, but he knows that it will be a party to remember.
“Philly fans were incredible all year round,” said Barkley, offensive player AP of the year after rushing for 2,000 yards in 2024. “Just the love and support they have for This team.
“I expect it to be an explosion – a party – and I am delighted to be here with cane farming with Todd, who is a very good friend to me.

“It was a crazy week so far for me, but just taking everything and enjoying it.”
Barkley said he would not be the player who delivers a Kelce speech on the museum’s steps, but he knows which players he would choose to do it because of what they mean for the city.
“It won’t be me, I can guarantee it,” he said, laughing. “It’s not my thing. If I had to choose one, I would say that Lane Johnson or [Brandon Graham]. I think these are the two longest eagles at the moment, so I think it would be perfect for one of them to do it, especially if it is the last BG match and last year with We. For him, going out with a blow would be pretty cool. “”

While Barkley will appreciate the celebration of victory with his family, his friends and his teammates, the city of Philadelphia will make sure to keep the party safe, especially after the shooting during the parade of the Super Bowl des Chiefs last year . One person was killed and 22 others injured, including 11 children.
Fans of the Eagles began the streets of Philadelphia several times in the past, including twice this year after the Eagles won the NFC and the Super Bowl championship.
“You will see a great police presence continue throughout the day and in the evening,” said Police Commissioner of Philadelphia, Kevin Bethel, about the parade.

Barkley is ready to celebrate with fans.
“”[The fans] I was incredible for me, my family, especially my little girl, “said Barkley.” Since the first time I had my opening interview and my daughter was with me, they fell in love with her. It was an explosion. For the season to happen as it ended and finish the way we finished as champions of the Super Bowl, you cannot catch it. “”
