The attempt at a star from Virginia High School, the star attempt to start first in a race last Tuesday, led an opponent to hit her with a stick, causing head injuries.
According to Kaelen Tucker, Junior of Brookville High School, she is still waiting for the opponent of IC Norcom secondary school to apologize.
Tucker had just established a new record for class 3 class 3 championships from Virginia High School (VHSL) in the 55 -meter race on Monday, and she hoped to help her school win the 4x200m relay final on Tuesday.

However, the heat of the competition took place too far by an opponent, because clear video evidence of the race show that Tucker is struck in the head by a runner branding Norcom, who also threw him in the direction of Tucker after being died.
Tucker immediately left the track and fell, holding his head.

“So, on the rear curve, I was somehow cut, and I tried to pass the first time, so I let it go ahead,” Tucker told Wset ABC 13 in an interview published on Friday. “I knew that when I am completely on the curve that I was going to have to pass before her. So, when we came in the middle of the curve, we hit ourselves very much. So, I had a little more outside the curve to get around it.”
“When I finally pushed in front of her, it was then that she hit me with the stick.”
Tumping during the races is very normal on the track, but not how Tucker’s opponent reacted at that time during the second stage of the race.
“The whole section has just dropped,” said Tucker’s mother Tamarrow, about those around her in the stands. “We had the family from the outside of the city, his sponsors were here from Myrtle Beach. Everyone just dropped. When I saw her go down, all I could do is get out of the stands. I just knew I had to get to her.”
“She was a bit hysterical because she just couldn’t believe it was what had happened.”
The racing judges immediately disqualified the NORCOM team to “contact interference”, according to WSET ABC 13.
Tamarrow said that a doctor was already with her daughter when she went up on the track, although what disconcerted the whole family was the lack of responsibility for what happened.
On Friday, they still haven’t heard of the runner or his coaches, she said.

“My thing was not apologies,” said Tamarrow. “No coaches, no athlete, nothing. Even if it was an accident, which I don’t think it’s an accident, but nothing. It was more than 24 hours now, so I guess it was the major thing. My child was injured and no one came to check it.”
Wset ABC 13 asked Tuckers if criminal accusations would be in a hurry, and without giving a final response or not, Tamarrow explained their point of view.
“Of course, everyone gives their opinion on what they think you should do, but he is also someone else’s child,” she said, referring to the attacker. “I also want to take this into account. Yes, she has definitely struck my daughter more than once, but it is also someone else’s child.”
The family said that a doctor’s visit had revealed a concussion symptoms on Friday while Kaelen continues to face headaches. There was also swelling in the area where it was struck and a possible fracture of the skull.
Kaelen is not allowed on the track until she recovers from the concussion, said her mother.

The Tucker family contacted the VHSL and said they had received a reminder explaining that a survey was underway and that the two high schools cooperate. No discipline has been announced for the incident, according to the Tuckers.
The VHSL did not immediately respond to a request for comments from PK Press Club Digital.
Kaelen was invited at the end of the interview with their home what she wanted to say to the opponent who struck her, if necessary.
“Why did you do it? And why haven’t you apologized yet?” She said.
