The party of the Sindh Taraqipasand (STP) organized a rally of protest on Sunday and a demonstration in Sujawal against the growing trade in narcotics and prolonged with electricity waste in the district.
The STP SUJAWAL chapter led a rally of Mamoon Laddu Chowk in the public park, where a large number of party leaders, workers and citizens joined.
Participants sang slogans against drug hawers and power outages.
The main leaders of the STP, notably the president of the Sujawal district, Juman Sindhi, Abdul Ghani Mallah, Abdul Wahid Khasakheli, Mumtaz Laghari, Gul Hassan Rind, Ashraf Them, and the district of Thatta Syed Jalal Shah, Tariq Amar Abbasi and Rajo Quresi Local officials and citizens also participated in a large number.
The speakers have opened up to great concern about the increase in drug addiction among young people, including alcohol, ice, heroine, Mawa and Indian Gutka, calling it a public health problem and crime.
They criticized the law enforcement organizations for their inaction and alleged that the drugs are sold openly without fear of responsibility.
They warned that if rapid measures are not taken, the protest campaign would be intensified throughout the region.
The demonstrators also condemned the prolonged and unannounced power failures in Sujawal in the middle of the stifling heat, accusing the officials of Hesco of negligence and indifference.
The leaders of the STP warned that if the supply of electricity was not soon stabilized, they would besiege the Hesco offices to protest.
