The KHYBER-PAKHTUNKHWA (KP) Terrorism Department (KP) has foiled a major terrorist land, killing a suicide bomber and its manager during an intelligence-based operation in the Shamshatoo zone in Peshawar.

According to CTD officials, the operation was carried out during a warning, preventing what could have been a significant attack on a significant installation in the province.

“A suicide bomber and its manager were killed during the raid. Both belonged to the prohibited terrorist outfit Fitna al-Khawarij,” said a spokesperson for the CTD. “They planned a high impact attack on a critical target.”

The CTD confirmed that the suicide striker had entered Pakistan in Afghanistan. Weapons, a suicide vest, a machine gunner (SMG), a pistol and explosive equipment have been recovered from the site.
