- Sarcoma ransomware operators have recently violated Radix
- Consequently, the files of the Swiss government were published on the dark web
- Radix claims to have kept intact backups
Several agencies of the Swiss Federal Government have been affected by a supply chain attack which failed Radix, a non -profit organization in the health promotion sector.
A short announcement published on the website of the Swiss government noted that “various administrative units of the federal administration” were among Radix customers.
It was also explained that the company fell prey to a ransomware cyber attack in which the attackers stole and encrypted data before publishing them on the Dark Web. After the fallout, Radix informed the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC), which launched an investigation to determine exactly what type of data was assigned and which were the victims.

“As Radix has no direct access to federal administration systems, the attackers have not acquired these systems at any time,” said the government.
Radix also published a statement on his own website, detailing what had happened.
“Unfortunately, we must confirm that despite high security standards and professional support, we have become victims of a cyber attack,” said traditional notification. “On June 29, 2025, the Sarcoma pirate group published the stolen data on a leakage site.”
Radix also explained that affected persons were already informed and stressed that data from partner organizations were not compromised.
“Access to affected data was immediately revoked after the attack was discovered. There was a confirmed data leak and various data has been encrypted. However, Radix keeps all data in an intact condition on backups. The exact method of the attack is currently being studied. “
The claim of all data has been left intact on backups suggests that the company is not interested in paying the ransom request. This would make sense, because the attackers would have already disclosed the loot on the Dark Web.
