The turnover of the Defense of the Eagles of Philadelphia continued on Tuesday when the name of CJ Gardner-Johnson was linked to trade relationships.
The defensive back was exchanged at Houston’s Texans in exchange for Kenyon Green offensive line player, in several reports. The Commerce package will also send a fifth round draft choice in 2026 to the Eagles of the defending Super Bowl champion. In addition to Gardner-Johnson, Houston acquires a future choice of sixth round.

The 2024 season marked the second pass of Gardner-Johnson with the Eagles after having initially played with Philadelphia in 2022. He left after this season and spent the campaign in 2023 with the Lions of Detroit.
Gardner-Johnson joined the Eagles last year and signed a three-year agreement with the team.

It was a key element of the defense praised of the Eagles last year and finished the regular season with six interceptions. Gardner-Johnson also recorded six interceptions with the Eagles two seasons ago.
Despite the likelihood that he has a different uniform next season, Gardner-Johnson suggested that the Eagles and the city of Philadelphia will continue to occupy a special place in his heart.
“I love you Philly, we champions forever,” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Gardner-Johnson’s relationship with Eagles fans sometimes seems tense. Shortly after the end of his first passage with the team, he characterized at least some residents of Philadelphia as “heinous”.
“My least favorite thing … is the people,” said Gardner-Johnson during a live Twitch flow in 2023. “They are F —- G odious, I can’t stand the F —- S.” He added that he had appreciated the city weather.

The 27 -year -old triggered a certain controversy shortly after the Eagles won the second Vince Lombardi trophy in the history of the franchise when he targeted Travis Kelce – and effectively to his romantic partner Taylor Swift – in an article on social networks.
In a vulgar legend of a photo of himself joined Kelce on the football field, Gardner-Johnson suggested that Kelce “should have stayed” with his ex-girlfriend. He doubled in his position when he arrived at the Victory of the Eagles Victory of the Super Bowl with a hooded sweatshirt that said: “Swifies can Lix my B —-.”

A Florida restaurant belonging to the mother of Gardner-Johnson, Del Johnson, was then targeted by certain fans who were offended by the message displayed on the holding of the NFL star. The Kings Grill in Rockledge, Florida, received a burst of negative criticism from Yelp.
Fans of the singer Taylor Swift, who are often called “Swifies”, seemed responsible at least the initial flow of bad critics Google and the criticisms of negative Yelp for the Kings Grill. Disapporable criticisms were then deleted and Yelp placed an “unusual activity alert” on the restaurant page which “temporarily disabled the publication of the content”.
While the Eagles were able to keep the second Zack Baun, Josh Sweat and Milton Williams would have accepted the treaties with other NFL teams this week. Meanwhile, the defensive back Darius Slay and James Bradberry were released.
Philadelphia seemed to tackle his role as a quarter-backing quarterly by exchanging Kenny Pickett at the Browns of Cleveland in exchange for a choice of recovery of fifth round and Dorian Thompson-Robinson.
