- The RX 9070 XT of AMD is probably as low as it will obtain in terms of price
- GPU demand (and other components) should increase later in the year
- In addition to the effects of prices, this could mean substantial price increases for graphics cards, a YouTube leak tells us
The moment may be the perfect time to jump and buy one of the RX 9070 XT Graphics Cards from AMD, since the price of this GPU recently dropped, and it should increase later in 2025.
It is the theory floated by the law of Moore is Dead (MLID), a regular leak on YouTube, which discusses the RX 9070 XT pricing – and the imminent spectrum of the GPU price increases more widely – in the second half of its last video.
Mlid observes that price labels on the RX 9070 XT fell significantly (from almost $ 900 to around $ 700), approaching the PDSF (although still not quite there – the recommended price is $ 600). It is a similar story in other regions, such as the United Kingdom too, with prices with a good deal.
This is, of course, good news for potential buyers, but Mlid contacted various sources in retailers and discovered the other not so good news of these possible price increases.
Mlid explains that prices have dropped right now due to slow summer sales – as planned at this time of the year – but that we have probably reached the lowest point. These retail sources indicate that prices can drop more, but they are probably more likely to stabilize at the level in which they are now.
Upon entering the last quarter of 2025, we are apparently going to see price increases, however, beyond the normal seasonal reasons (holiday sales), that is to say. The latter will always be a factor here, of course, but Mlid says that there will be additional pressure on all PC components – including GPUs – due to companies forced to go to Windows 11.
Remember that Windows 10 will reach the end of support in October 2025, it will therefore be a factor in the fourth quarter, because organizations place orders from new equipment, which stimulates the request. Consumers will also play in this demand to a lesser extent.
The third gaming factor with potential price increases is that during the third quarter of 2025, we are told that stocks of pre-tariff components should be dry. All this is added to a dark image for the supply and demand of the fourth quarter, the top prices not only of the RX 9070 XT, but of all GPUs, and in fact many other components.
What if there are agreements concluded and all Trump’s prices disappear later in 2025? Even in this case, due to the nature of the shipping electronics and the long transport times associated with cargo ships, we cannot expect a relief of stocks or prices to materialize in 2025.

Analysis: the essential
MLID’s net profit, based on all the discussions he has had with retail sources and distribution, is that we are probably considering price increases from 10% to 30% on various technological products, including GPUs. It is a rather generalized affirmation, but nevertheless, a little disturbing – take a seasoning with, of course, although the logic behind YouTuber’s thought has a meaning.
So, we return to the RX 9070 XT – if you plan to buy a superior -Milieu GPU for 1440p or 4K games, it seems that July is the right time to buy. In addition, do not forget that we have just discovered that the RX 9070 XT is now almost 10% faster than at launch, thanks to AMD improvements inaugurated with the subsequent versions of its graphic pilot.
This means that the RX 9070 XT seems a more tempting perspective, especially if you consider that this month can see the cheapest price you will get for this excellent AMD GPU. Although yes, the fact that it is still above the PDSF can be boring, I do not deny that – but the 9070 XT is still much cheaper than the RTX 5070 Ti rival, and a much better value proposal as a whole.
And speaking of this NVIDIA graphics card (also very well rated), Mlid notes that the retail sources indicate that the RTX 5070 Ti is sold better now, and apparently equivalent to the 9070 XT in certain retailers (although AMD is still in advance in others). It is always a victory for AMD, of course, which in terms of the global market market share of office GPU is well behind Nvidia.
Another thought that can happen to you is: What about the offers of Black Friday for the RX 9070 XT later this year? Given all this chatter, I would not put anything that something convincing that happens there, especially since graphics cards are never one of the strongest areas for price reduction in this sale. The first imminent day, however, is certainly worth watching closely.
