Following current tensions and the imminent possibility of a military operation, the migration of Mamond Tehsil de Bajaur continues tirelessly.

According to local sources, hundreds of families have so far left the region, seeking security in other parts of the district and beyond.

The district administration also ordered the elimination of corn crops planted less than 100 meters from the side of the road.

Farmers received a three -day ultimatum to collect their cultures, those responsible citing security considerations behind the directive.

The authorities said that the measures were part of the precautionary measures taken because the situation remains volatile in the region.

Friday, the seventh Tour of the Peace of Bajaur Jirga ended without breakthrough, while the negotiations struck a dead end on a key discord between the two parties. The two parties raised objections on a particular clause under discussion, resulting in a dead end.

Addressing the media, the member of the peace of Jirga, Sahibzada Haroonur Rasheed, confirmed the dead end and said: “Efforts are underway to resolve the dead end. The Jirga remains determined to play its role in maintaining peace in the region.”

He urged both parties to show restraint and patience during the current process.

“We called on both parties to demonstrate tolerance. They assured us that in the event of a conflict, the civilians will not be injured,” he added.

In an important development, the chief minister of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, summoned the members of Bajaur Jirga to the house of the chief minister in Peshawar on Saturday August 9.

This decision is considered a step to speed up resolution efforts and restore calm in the region.

The peace of Bajaur Jirga continues to be a vital platform for dialogue and conflict resolution in the region. Despite the current setbacks, the mediators hope for progress in the coming days.
