Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, head of the Pakistan parliamentary delegation in the United Kingdom, firmly rejected India’s allegations against Pakistan, calling them without foundation and not taken care of by credible evidence, following the recent incident of Pahalgam.
After successfully completing their visit to the United States, the Pakistani delegation arrived in the United Kingdom on Sunday to present Pakistan’s position on Indian assault.
The group of nine members had interviews with representatives of the United Nations, diplomats from the Member States and senior US officials in order to present Pakistan’s account on the recent Pakistani-Indian conflict and defend peace in South Asia.

Speaking during a meeting of the All Party parliamentary group on Pakistan, organized by the deputy Yasmin Qureshi at the Westminster Palace in London on Tuesday, Bilawal addressed the British intermediate parliamentarians, which informed them about the position of Pakistan.
“Indian attacks on civilians, violations of Pakistan’s sovereignty and the suspension of the Industry Water Treaty could have dangerous consequences for regional and international peace,” said Bilawal. He criticized the unilateral actions of India and urged a renewed commitment to peace and dialogue.
“We are attached to a calibrated and responsible response in accordance with international law, in particular the right to self-defense under the Charter of the United Nations,” he said. He underlined the dedication of Pakistan to restraint and called for a renewed dialogue, focusing on all the outstanding questions, including the cashmere dispute.

During his meeting with the president of the House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed the concerns of Pakistan concerning the unjustified military strikes of India against civilians and the suspension of the Treaty of Water. He asked the protection of the sacred nature of international treaties and warned against “water arming”.
The delegation stressed that sustainable peace in South Asia could only be achieved thanks to a fair resolution of the cashmere issue, as indicated by the Charter of the United Nations and the relevant resolutions of the Security Council.
The president of the House of Commons has recognized long-standing cordial relations between the United Kingdom and Pakistan and has reiterated the commitment of the United Kingdom to peace and stability in the region.
The Minister of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Musadik Malik also underlined the environmental dangers posed by the suspension of India from the Industry Water Treaty. He warned of significant threats to food security and the livelihoods of the 240 million people from Pakistan, especially in his agrarian economy.
The senior Pakistani People’s Party (PPP) and a member of the Pakistan parliamentary delegation visiting the United Kingdom, Sherry Rehman Senator also reiterated that Pakistan is committed to promoting peace and reducing tensions in the region.
In an interview with Sky News, Rehman stressed that if Pakistan seeks peace, he should not be perceived as a sign of weakness. “We do not want regional conflicts to degenerate in crises, but our desire for peace should not be mistaken as vulnerability,” she said.
She said that Pakistan’s diplomatic commitments in the United States and the United Kingdom are aimed at ensuring that the international community receives a precise representation of the situation.
“The purpose of our diplomatic visits is to keep the facts intact and provide a truthful report on events,” she said, highlighting Pakistan’s active role in international dialogue.

Addressing recent tensions with India, Rehman described the conflict as useless and not caused, attributing its origins to Indian actions. She also criticized certain Indian media to exacerbate tensions by distributing disinformation and aligning with the nationalist agenda of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“These media attach the rhetoric of war and propagate false relationships,” she said.
The senior PPP official has also drawn attention to Pakistan terrorism efforts, recognizing that the country faces one of the highest rates of terrorist attacks worldwide. She said Pakistan continues to work tirelessly to fight terrorism and ensure regional stability.
“Pakistan is attached to peace and security, and we do everything in our power to counter terrorism and promote stability in the region,” she concluded.

After the ceasefire with India, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appointed Bilawal to lead a high-level delegation responsible for presenting the Pakistan for Peace ” on recent Indian aggression to the international community.
The Committee aims to engage with the leaders and global institutions to raise awareness among India and the concerns of Pakistan concerning the Industry Water Treaty. The government has also planned to send additional delegations to other countries in the context of broader diplomatic awareness.
