The United Kingdom’s PM is crying deaths against floods, support commitments in Pakistan

British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer expressed condolences to the inhabitants of Pakistan on the loss of more than 750 lives and the generalized destruction caused by recent monsoon rains on Thursday.

In a letter addressed to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Starmer said that he was deeply saddened by the extent of the disaster and its impact on communities across the country. He noted that tragedy strongly resonates with many British families of Pakistani heritage, who followed the situation with increasing concern.

“The British nation is in solidarity with the people of Pakistan during this difficult period,” said the letter.
