The United States Embassy in Islamabad strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the Jaffar Express train in Balutchistan, expressing its sympathy and condolences to the victims of “the horrible act”.
The attack, led by armed men on Tuesday afternoon, occurred in a mountainous area far from the province of Balutchistan and was immediately claimed by the Liberation Army Baloch (Bla).
The attackers forced the train to stop and took hundreds of hostage passengers. Security sources report that at least 30 terrorists were killed and that 190 passengers were rescued while security operations against the attackers continued for a second day on Wednesday.
“We strongly condemn the attack on the Jaffar Express train and the hostage-taking of passengers in Kacchi, Balutchistan, affirmed by the Liberation Army Baloch, a global terrorist group specially designated in the United States,” the American embassy said in a statement published on X.
“We extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to the victims, their families and all the people affected by this horrible act. The Pakistani people deserves to live without violence and fear. The United States will remain an unshakable partner in Pakistan in its efforts to ensure the security and security of all its citizens. In a separate declaration, China also condemned the terrorist attack. The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning expressed the firm opposition from Beijing to terrorism in all its forms, reaffirming the support of China in Pakistan to fight terrorism and ensuring the security of its citizens.
“We strongly condemn this terrorist attack. China is firmly opposed to terrorism in any form.
