The American directive suspended the ambassador fund for cultural preservation projects and closed five important projects in the energy sector.
The instructions of the US State Department also assigned four programs related to economic growth in Pakistan, while five agricultural development projects have arrested their aid.
In addition, the financing of democracy, human rights and programs related to governance has been temporarily interrupted, and four education projects and four health projects have also been suspended. In addition, 11 projects related to governance were affected by this American decision.
US officials said this decision is temporary and, after reassembling all assistance programs, the future of these projects will be decided.
Trump signed a decree shortly after taking office for his second term on January 20, ordering all federal agencies to implement a 90 -day break on foreign development aid and to review the existing programs.
The order is read as follows: “It is the policy of the United States that no other foreign assistance in the United States will be spent in a manner that is not fully aligned with the foreign policy of the President of the States -Unis. “
