A university football match of the NCAA Division II between the marauders of the Central State University and the Wildcats of Fort Valley State University descended in chaos on Saturday after the final whistle exploded.
The central state defeated Fort Valley State, 18-14, to spoil the day of return of the Wildcats. But the action did not end there.

A video published on social networks by journalist Kalan Hooks has shown that two Wildcats players putting themselves in a scrub with a marauder player. The players started to dogpile on each other with punches thrown into the heckling. Just when things seemed to cool down and the players were separated, another snails occurred near the stands.
“Coaches, remove your players from the field,” was heard the advertiser of the public address.
The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC), to which the two football programs belong, announced on Monday that 20 players had been suspended above the hubbub – 11 players from the central state and nine from Fort Valley. The two chief coaches were also suspended.

“Antisportive driving acts do not take place in intercollegial athletics or in the Southern Intercollegate Athletic Conference,” said AIC commissioner Anthony Holloman, in a statement. “I am extremely disappointed that this event has overshadowed which was otherwise a very competitive football match.”
The conference indicated that the two schools had violated its code of ethics and had been sentenced to a fine of an undisclosed amount.

“We do not tolerate behavior that does not become again from these standards, and we take the necessary measures to ensure that our students-athletes understand the importance of representing the university with wild pride and professionalism on and out of the field,” said Valley State in a press release.
