Darrier and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar, has received a telephone call from the US National Security Councilor Michael Walters, thanking Pakistan for his efforts in the fight against terrorism and expressed his appreciation for the country’s permanent actions in the fight against extremism.

According to a declaration from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Walters has transmitted a message of gratitude and praise on behalf of US President Donald Trump for Pakistan’s efforts in the fight against terrorism.

In response, Dar congratulated Walters for his appointment as an American national security advisor and expressed his hopes to further strengthen the long -standing and multifaceted relationship between the two countries under the administration of President Trump.

DAR reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to continue cooperation with the United States in the fight against terrorism and applauded the announcement of President Trump concerning the return of military equipment left by American forces in Afghanistan.

The two parties also discussed the expansion of cooperation in sectors such as information technologies, energy and minerals. They agreed to the importance of continuous dialogue on trade, investment, climate change and health, in order to advance broader bilateral cooperation.
