Switchbot attracted a lot of attention and praise with the launch of the K10 +, a robot vacuum cleaner the size of a pint for people who do not have a ton of space at home – but although the bot Dinky can enter a lot of corners and recommendations, you cannot clean your stairs or sofa.
To get around this, Switchbot has now unveiled the K10 + PRO combo, which takes the latest model of the Mini Robovac and Bundles in a light stick vacuum and the automatic sequences in the same quay. The said dock has acquired a long chimney extension for this purpose, and is now a bit like a futuristic pizza oven.
This Robovac obtained a high score in our Switchbot K10 + Pro exam, and the manual vacuum also seems decent. It promises many of the same features that I seek in the best wireless vacuums today, including an advanced filtration system, a roll designed so as not to be tangled with hair, a lie design and detail tools To manage different cleaning tasks.
However, I am not fully sold on the new configuration. First of all, the empty of the stick is attached to the back of the quay, which means that you cannot position the quay of the quay on the wall. It is perhaps to make sure that the bot can find its way (you must position the platform with a clear space at the front and alongside), but that means that you must now have your quay sitting away from the wall and Take more space in the room, if you want to avoid scratching the stick vacuum cleaner on the wall accidentally while mooring it.
I am not convinced either that you would save space compared to a separate wireless wireless quay – the type you get with most Dyson vacuum cleaners. Of course, the two quays would be in separate places, but cumulatively, they would not take down much more space than this combination effort.

If you wonder why I would fix the space here, don’t forget that the Switchbot Robovac USP is that it is small. If you have space for a larger platform, you would simply buy a regular robot vacuum cleaner and open a world of other options (here are the best choices of Techradar robot vacuum cleaners if you are looking for inspiration) .
With a capacity of three liters, the cup of dust hidden in the platform is at least large enough to cope with a decent volume of dust, although it has lost a piece of capacity compared to the Quai K10 + pro standard, which contains four liters.
If you are Sold on this idea, it’s time to buy because there are discounts on the Switchbot K10 + Pro combo in the United States and the United Kingdom.
Analysis: A self-scratching invasion?
Switchbot is not the only Vacuum brand to offer such a configuration. Take the YEEDI C12 combo, for example, which also combines a stick void (with an additional cleaning head) and a full -size Robovac, and is delivered with an absolute beast of a quay.
This is also part of an interesting trend for self-scratching manual vacuum cleaners. The most recent and best shark vacuum cleaners have automatic faculty quays, for example. I see the attraction with the vacuum cleaners of the robot, because the on -board bins are necessarily tiny, and the whole point is to be a goalless solution. But if you succeed in manually in the first place, it is not much more effort to empty the cup of dust yourself.
I tested the Shark POWERDETECT, and although the automatic agricultural dock works well, it is bulky and not terribly attractive. Personally, I would choose to empty my own tank on leaving the platform at home, so I’m interested to see if this growing trend takes off.
