A 24 -year -old Venezuelan man who would have submitted a student in Ohio high school participated in the boys swimming team and participated in state sections.
Perrysburg’s schools confirmed on Tuesday that Anthony Emmanuel Labrador Sierra was part of the swimming team of the Lycée de Perrysburg and the Junior University Football team. He participated in the events of 50 and 100 meters free swimming of the Ohio High School Athletics Association (OHSAA) Fremont B section in February.

The man was accused of counterfeiting and is detained on bail of $ 50,000. Perrysburg police said officials were contacted on Monday by local Perrysburg schools on a possible fraudulent activity. Investigators also learned that Labrador Sierra used fraudulent documents to register in Perrysburg schools and pretended to be a 16 -year -old student.
Between January 11, 2024 and May 14, 2025, the school said that the Labrador Sierra had obtained documentation and support, further complicating the situation. For example, he obtained a driving license issued by the State, a social security number and a temporary protection status (TPS) of American immigration.
The school also said that the Labrador Sierra had completed a visa request with the help of defense of opportunities, which provides free legal assistance. The tribunal for minors of the county of Wood granted the supervision of the Labrador Sierra to a family of Perrysburg.

The Ministry of Internal Security (DHS) told PK Press Club that they had located information from Labrador Sierra under a different spelling of its name. They added that the Labrador Sierra is an overcoming visa that came to the United States for the first time in 2019. The DHS also confirmed that the Labrador received TP.
Labrador Sierra denied allegation on May 15, schools said. He was finally arrested during a traffic stop this week.
“What is most heartbreaking is the number of people in good faith,” said the Perrysburg school. “The staff and local families have offered support to someone who, according to them, was a vulnerable teenager. Their compassion reflects the best of our community. Although confidence has been raped, we remain proud of those who have chosen to help.”
The Labrador Sierra is planned for a court hearing on May 29.
